Beanie Wells questionable to play Sunday

Arizona Cardinals RB Chris “Beanie” Wells returned to a limited practice Friday and is questionable to play Sunday against Seattle. Wells will likely be used sparingly, assuming he plays Sunday. Upgrade Tim Hightower for the time being. Wells is dealing with swelling in his surgically-repaired knee.

Beanie Wells limited in Cardinals loss

Arizona Cardinals RB Chris “Beanie” Wells (knee) received just one carry in Sunday’s loss to Minnesota. Obviously not 100% after suffering a setback with his injured knee this past week, Wells barely played Sunday. The knee has limited Wells all season and we don’t expect a big turnaround down the stretch. Tim Hightower is looking [...]

Derek Anderson to start at QB for Cardinals

Arizona Cardinals QB Derek Anderson has been named the starter for this week’s game against Minnesota. Anderson gets another crack at it after Max Hall was abysmal, to say the least, in limited action. It’s a slight upgrade for Larry Fitzgerald and Steve Breaston, although clearly the quarterback position will be an issue for the [...]

Breaston expected to return to Cardinals Sunday

Arizona Cardinals WR Steve Breaston (knee) is expected to return for Sunday’s game against Tampa Bay, according to Coach Ken Whisenhunt. Breaston was set to return last week, but wet conditions in Seattle caused the coaching staff to play it safe and hold him out. Breaston’s value is very low with Max Hall at quarterback.

Doucet is more questionable to play Sunday than Breaston, as he is coming off sports hernia surgery. Breaston [...]

Max Hall named Cardinals’ starting QB

Arizona Cardinals Coach Ken Whisenhunt has named rookie Max Hall the team’s starting quarterback for Week 5 against New Orleans. Hall hasn’t shown much in limited game action so far, but he can’t be much worse than Derek Anderson. Hall impressed during the preseason and at least offers a little bit of down-the-road potential. Anderson [...]

Breaston out with torn meniscus

Arizona Cardinals WR Steve Breaston will be out indefinitely following surgery Tuesday to repair a torn meniscus in his knee. Breaston will miss at least the next few weeks, while rookie Stephen Williams will step into the #2 role and be immediately worthy of a pickup in fantasy leagues. Early Doucet is still sidelined following [...]

Beanie Wells expected to play Sunday

Arizona Cardinals RB Chris “Beanie” Wells (knee) is expected to play Sunday after participating in practice on Friday. Wells has practiced all week and looks good to go against Oakland. How much he is used is still up in the air, however, so we’d hold off on using him in fantasy lineups until next week.  [...]

Snelling dominant in Falcons blowout victory

Subbing for an injured Michael Turner, Atlanta Falcons RB Jason Snelling ran for 129 yards and scored three all-purpose TD’s in a 41-7 victory over Arizona. Turner left with a groin injury, but was held out as a precaution in the second half with the Falcons in control. Snelling will most likely head back to [...]
